Hello,
We went and did another one.
We mainly discussed how we don’t like Cambridge.
Totally Mexico.
Hello,
We went and did another one.
We mainly discussed how we don’t like Cambridge.
Totally Mexico.
Today’s episode was frankly harrowing.
It lasted for almost two hours, we hadn’t even planned the first one.
However, we did play some brilliant songs, and also one by Black Sabbath
If you have a very strong constitution then you can listen to it here
Happy trails,
Quinn
Sorry for shouting, but we have worked out how to make our radio show exist within the construct of the internet as a permanent fixture.
We haven’t been able to listen to our own shows up until this point, so we hadn’t realised how poor the sound quality was on the songs that we play. We now know that the music sounds like it’s playing underwater, in a bad nightclub that used to smell like fags but now smells like sweat and bits of sick. We’ll try and sort it out for episode four, mainly by just, like, y’know, turning the sound down.
Anyway, here is Episode One:

And here’s Episode Two:

And here’s Episode Six! Kidding. It’s Episode Three:

Do the enjoying now. You should be able to download them and all of that.

We’ve just finished our third show.
We were mean about James Haywood again, but in an entirely (kind of) factual way.
We also played songs, talked Berlusconi and stole airtime from Bishara (SORRY)
It was the least prepared and therefore funniest show so far, there’s a great bit where we’re not sure if we’re even broadcasting, LTIGSM! We were, so it made for great radio.
We’re going to crack out the podcasts so soon that by the time you read this – years from now – they will already be there so if any of you were protesting or asleep then you can listen to them when you want.
Or when we’re round at your house and we make you. And stare at you, looking for encouragement.
Quinn out.
We gone did another show.
It wasn’t as good as the first one but it was still O.K which is more than we promised and a lot more than we expected.
Here are the songs we played
Jim’ll Fix It – TV Theme
Michael D. Rocking in the Dail – Saw Doctors
My Beloved Monster – Eels
Just What I Needed – Cars
Knee Deep At ATP – Los Campesinos
Galway Girl – Steve Earle
We will be doing a show this week – YEAH, EVEN THOUGH IT’S READING WEEK – so do listen if you can.
We’re trying.
Here are the songs we played last week.
Let’s Stay Together – Al Green
The Year Before The Year 2000 – Les Savy Fav
Oh My God – Ida Maria
Want You Back – Jackson 5
Walk Away Renee – The Four Tops
Now if you can just imagine some top-draw insight and humour in between them then you’re pretty much there.*
*It’s all subjective.
And welcome to Baffled & Outraged, broadcasting every Wednesday at 1500 GMT on Wired Radio. Consider it the soundtrack to your pre-Sandwich nap.
The show essentially boils down to me (Tom Quinn) and Conor “The Pope” Pope venting about anything that has taken place during the week which has left us feeling Astounded & Infuriated, Confounded & Disgusted, Bewildered & Appalled or indeed Stumped & Revolted.
There will also be some bits that we think are pretty funny so watch out for them. In fact, if there are any funny parts in our shows then please let us know. At the moment, we have no idea what’s working and we need the guidance.
In our first show (which we now believe may be lost forever), we asked the big questions and gave some lazy answers. Was Shakespeare a fraud? No. Was Gaddafi a hipster? Yes. Is John Terry a racist? Absolutely.
“How do you know?” I hear you mutter. We just do.
We also played some great songs and one by Bryan Adams.
This week will have more of the same. OR WILL IT? MAYBE IT WILL BE A SPECIAL EPISODE OF BAFFLED AND OUTRAGED DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF SIR JIMMY SAVILLE OBE. Maybe. Probably not.
Anyway, do listen in. After all, it might be better than you think. Maybe. Probably not.
